Nancy Jane Houston Nancy Jane Houston (nee Hartman) Age 79, a Naperville, IL resident from 1958-1979 and 1998 to 2010, formerly of Freeport, IL and Greencastle, PA, died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield, IL after a brief illness. She was born September 13, 1930 in Harrisburg, PA. She is survived by her husband, Phil Houston of Naperville, whom she married April 5, 1952, three daughters, Susan (Dave) Jordan of Sugar Hill, GA, Sally (Terry) Cassidy of Naperville and Jenny (Gary) Payne of Naperville, four grandchildren, Michael, Sara and Rachel Cassidy; Hayleigh Payne, a nephew and several nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Birdella (nee Jones) Hartman. Nancy attended Penn State College in Happy Valley, PA where she met her future husband, Phil. Nancy was a charter member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Naperville. She also was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and DuPage County Genealogical Society, and was formerly an officer in both the Silver Knights Parent Organization and the Emblem Club. Visitation Monday, February 22, 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 South Mill Street, Naperville. Additional Visitation Tuesday, February 23, 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at Knox Presbyterian Church, 1105 Catalpa Lane, Naperville, IL 60540. Funeral Services will follow Tuesday, 10:30 A.M. in the church.
