Frank A. Rafitz Sr., 60, of Uniontown, Pa., died suddenly Wednesday Feb. 21, 2001, in Uniontown Hospital.

Frank A. Rafitz Sr., 60, of Uniontown, Pa., died suddenly Wednesday Feb. 21, 2001, in Uniontown Hospital.

He was born March 23, 1940, in Oliver, Pa., the son of the late Rose Marie (Rafitz) Tolarczyk,

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary M. Tolarczyk.

A devoted husband and a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 42 years, Clara C. Rafitz; children, Debra Lynn Beam and her husband, Russ of Uniontown, Frank B. Rafitz Jr., and his wife, Shawn of Ocean City, Md., Vicki Wilkinson and her husband, Robert of Sterling, Va., and Lisa Faris and husband, Joseph of Mount Pleasant; 12 grandchildren, Joshua S. Ohler and Nicollette D. Rafitz of Uniontown, Natalie, Kristy, Nicole, Miranda and Frank Rafitz III of Uniontown, Clara Rafitz of Ocean City, Md., Ashley, Ryan and Tyler Wilkinson of Sterling, Va., and Nicco Faris of Mount Pleasant; a great-granddaughter, Alexis Jade Gordon of Uniontown; one brother, Tom Tolarczyk; a sister Marie Tolarczyk; and an uncle, Stanley (Ty) Rafitz of Uniontown.

Our father also served in the United States Army, and was also a union painter. He was also an avid golfer and carried his love for his family to the end. He will be deeply missed and always loved by his family, friends and Helen (Lease) Rafitz.

The family will receive friends in the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, today from 7 to 9 p.m. And on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Dale Sickles officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown.
